Types of People
There are two kinds of people in the world.
The first kind contains all those people who do good to everyone. They are always emotionally, financially and spiritually avaible to everyone. But after a few hiccups and after being familiarized with the status quo of the average normal human - after knowing the greed, corruption, gluttony and evil present in each and every one of us - they quickly become the second kind.
The second kind are, relatively, the more bitter people. Who have the capacity of good within them and do perform acts of merciful giving, unconditional love - but only to a certain circle of people. You will meet people who are only good to their immediate families and friends and who wrinkle up their noses at a stranger. You will meet people who despise their families from the core of their hearts yet show unrestrained patience for stray animals and wandering unpossessed begger-children.
But the thing is this - all of us have the seed of good within us - because that's just how people are born - they are born pure, innocent and tender to their very core (as much as that disagrees with The Lord of the Flies). It's people and situations that shape us. But whatever happens, that seed of good is hidden somewhere within us. In some, it blossoms into a fruitful crop of cultivated goodness and in others it's hidden deep, in the damp soil, in a dark, celestine corner.
But take refuge, solace, pride and understanding in the fact that it's still there.
